Bradford
Work which refers to the so-called Yorkshire Ripper killings between 1975 - 1980. The Lie is based on a photograph taken by Don McCullen and shows a performance by a stripper in a Bradford working men’s club in 1978, right at the height of the hunt for the killer. The second image is from an anonymous photograph and shows a policeman and policewoman playing a recording of the hoax tape purporting to be from the killer himself. The third image is a collage of the thirteen women murdered by Peter Sutcliffe.
Shown at the University of Brighton in July 2010 as part of the MA Fine Art Show.
